This male was attempting to entice a female osprey to favor his suit over her mate. Her mate was still out fishing somewhere and she was having none of it. 'Pew Pew Pew' she cried until he gave up and flew away.

I think there are times (like this one) where having a flash setup to illuminate the background would work real well. Only a few of the leaves of the background tree were in sunlight and it would have been better to light them all.
The local osprey have begun returning from thier winter homes in South America. Right now they are re-establishing nest sites or selecting new ones. The males tend to arrive first as they need to be well started on getting the nest back up to shape before the females will accept them. Most osprey pair shack up with established mates on existing nests. This male already has met up with his significant other and she is sitting in the nest below him out of the frame. They will start mating in a few days.
