KurtPreston > While walking along this frozen stormwater pond at lunch, I noticed someone had just tossed a bunch of cracked corn onto the ice nearby. In very short order, the background became the foreground :) This was the first group of geese to notice.

KurtPreston > Canadian Goose in Reeds There were Pintails and Northern Shovelers galore but, alas, they were all too far away and had thier butts in the air :)
KurtPreston > Hooded Merganser Taken from too far away with overcast, no tripod and during a break to go get lunch for me and the wife. So, it was too much of a crop and the details suffered.

KurtPreston > A little ahead of myself but starting the 2009 Dailies today. Got some decent morning light out at Huntley Meadows in Alexandria VA today. I can play hookey for about an hour before work sometimes and get shots here of many interesting things.
